Goa Introduces Automated Vehicle Verification at Mollem Border

The Transport Department of Goa has launched the Goa Vehicle Authentication System, which officially went live today. In its first phase, the smart verification system has been introduced at the Mollem checkpost, with plans to extend it to other locations in the future.

The new digital system is designed to automate the verification of key vehicle documents, including pollution under control (PUC) certificates and insurance papers. Using camera-based surveillance, it scans vehicles as they pass through the checkpost.

If all documents are valid and up to date, vehicles are cleared to proceed instantly—eliminating manual checks and reducing waiting time for motorists.
