It’s That Time Again — Dudhsagar Season Begins with On-Site Ticket Sales

After several delays, rides to the majestic Dudhsagar Waterfall at Collem in Dharbandora taluka finally resumed on Friday, marking the official start of the new tourist season. However, the reopening wasn’t without friction — local all-terrain vehicle (ATV) operators remain locked in a dispute with the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) over control of the official ticket booking website.

Since last year, the Dudhsagar Tour Operators’ Association has been urging authorities to let them manage the booking platform themselves. Association president Nilesh Velip confirmed that, for now, trips have commenced with on-site registrations at their counter.

On the first day of operations, around 100 tourists visited the breathtaking falls in 25 ATVs, beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday. Despite the ongoing standoff, the revival of rides has brought relief to local operators and excitement to travelers eager to witness one of Goa’s most spectacular natural wonders.
