To provide a platform for budding artists, directors and producers, the annually organised Goa Short Film Festival will be held on the 15th and 16th of this month. This year marks the 12th edition of the festival. The event is free and open to all.
The festival will take place at Sanskruti Bhavan, Patto–Panaji, organised by the Chitrapat Parivar Sanstha. On both days, from morning 9 a.m. to evening 6 p.m. on 15th Nov 2024, various short films will be screened.
Short films from across India as well as international entries will be showcased. On the 16th, at 5 p.m., senior writer Narayan Kurzakar and film scholar Rajendra Mengaonkar will present the festival awards, informed festival director Yogesh Barskar.
The two-day festival will feature more than 100 short films. The event will also include the showcase of short stories by Goan producers, directors and actors.
A special focus this year will be on Konkani-language short films. There is no entry fee for the festival. Awards will be presented under several categories, including Best Short Film, Best Director, Best Writer, Best Actor and more.
