This annual jatrotsav is a deeply revered event, drawing devotees from across Goa and neighboring regions to witness the grandeur of chariot festivals, rituals, and cultural performances.
About the Jatrotsav
The Ratha Saptami Jatrotsav marks an important spiritual occasion dedicated to Shri Mallikarjun Deva, the presiding deity of Canacona. Over five days, the deity is ceremoniously taken out in different forms of vahanas and chariots, accompanied by traditional music, rituals, and dramas that reflect Goa’s rich cultural heritage.
